Karin Visth is head sommelier and restaurant manager at one of the world’s most remote and remarkable restaurants — KOKS, perched above the North Atlantic Ocean.

With a deep knowledge of wine and an intuitive connection to the land and sea, Karin will guide us through her unique journey. As part of the pioneering team behind Michelin-starred dining in Greenland and now in the Faroe Islands, she brings stories of creating simple, pure, fresh gastronomy in a centuries-old farmhouse from 1741.

At KOKS, the landscape speaks — and they listen. Nature, color, scent, and local ingredients form the backbone of their philosophy. This is everyday activism: quiet, respectful, and rooted in tradition.

Alongside our 2 stars for culinary excellence, in 2020 KOKS was one of the first restaurants to be recognized under the new Michelin Sustainability Awards. The Michelin green leaf emblem recognises chefs who contribute positive solutions to sustainable practices and provide an example to the industry.
