VOUW

Technology promised to connect us. Instead, it made us lonelier. That’s the problem VOUW is solving. Justus co-founded VOUW with Mingus Vogel in 2017 to build something different: technology that invites people to slow down, look up, and connect with each other.
The studio creates interactive installations for public and private spaces. Bloomlight bends toward people as they pass. The PoemBooth turns portraits into personal poems in seconds. Chairwave makes strangers sit together, chairs that unfold toward whoever sits nearby.
The work has appeared in places like Singapore, Kaohsiung, Dubai, Athens, Aarhus, Milan and Sydney. Bloomlight S won a German Design Award 2026.VOUW has been covered by FastCompany, Designboom and TrendHunter.
