With a background in classical ballet and an internationally acclaimed career as a principal dancer with The Royal Danish Ballet, Maurice Béjart, and other renowned companies, Alexander Kølpin brings a unique artistic approach to the world of hospitality.
In 1993, he was honored as “Best Male Dancer in the World.” Alongside his dance career, he has accumulated over 30 years of experience in production and direction, giving him a profound understanding of how to stage meaningful experiences for an audience.
In his current role as Creative Director, Alexander draws on this experience to craft guest journeys through dramaturgy and storytelling.
Today, the stage is Kolpin Hotels. With roots in a creative upbringing, years of performance experience, and a passion for design and aesthetics, Alexander creates hotel experiences that feel both personal and poetic—where luxury meets authenticity, and every detail is thoughtfully considered.
He is the founder and owner of Kolpin Hotels, which includes Hotel Sanders, Helenekilde Badehotel, and Tisvildeleje Strandhotel in Tisvilde. He is also the co-founder and co-owner of Roberta’s Society in Aarhus.
