After graduating from the Hotel Management School Maastricht in 1988 he started as a Corporate Management Trainee at the Grand Hyatt New York and continued working for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts around the world in the field of Design Project Services / Hotel Concept Creation & Hotel Openings.

After 18 years at Hyatt he switched to The Radisson Hotel Group at the HQ in Brussels as a member of the Global Executive Committee in charge of Design & Project Services / Branding.

An entrepreneur-hotelier at heart, and after having lived in 21 countries — in 2015 he started his own hotel concept —Yawn— in Brussels,  as well as —Mister Steel Hotel Advisory Services— with Kempinski Hotels.

From 2017 to 2020, he re-imagined Penta Hotels Worldwide — a Rosewood Hotel Group brand as CEO.  He was also a member of the Global Leadership Team of the Rosewood Hotel Group, in charge of CSR Globally.

Having sold Penta Hotels he is now independent and based between Luxembourg and Granada launching a virtual management platform for hotels and a Senior Lecturer at The Hotel Management School Maastricht and is launching an ice-cream brand…creating a better world, one scoop at the time.
